The Moments of Insight series is about the formation of mental constructs. The absence of informative content directs the viewer's response and allows the viewer to experience these works of pure pattern and color without informing them of specific content and without narrative elements. The intention is to facilitate abstract thinking and in turn, a moment of insight.
This work is about how we continuously receive and process new information, adjust our perspectives and create a new worldview in the moments that precede our formed opinions. It provides consent for the viewer to interact with the painting as an experience and formulate a greater understanding of how we perceive the world.
My work allows the viewer to return to a place within themselves before returning to the world of consequence.
